Ideaz Upgrade to Google Apps Email Server

At Ideaz Technologies, we have been dedicated to quality hosting services.  However, email hosting is a tough job, even for the best.  In 2001-2002 we used Microsoft Exchange server for email hosting.  In 2003 we upgraded to SmarterMail for our email server.  SmarterMail is great, and the latest version continues to be one of the best email servers.  However, even though SmarterMail has great spam filtering options, we can't compete with the dedicated team of professionals that the big companies like Google and Microsoft have dedicated to their email services.

This past year, Google released a new line of email services that we believe is the best solution for email hosting.  You have already heard of, or even tried Gmail.  But now you can get Gmail hosting for your own domain's email.  This is part of the Google Apps package, and it comes in a few optional packages:

1. Google Apps for FREE,  includes up to 10 email accounts and 7 GB storage space.  You also get Advanced Web Mail, IMAP mail, and POP mail services.
2. Google Apps for Business, $5/month/user, unlimited accounts, 25GB storage/user, more business related services, such as Outlook Sync.
3. Google Apps for Education, FREE, all the services that the Business version has.

Moving your email to Google Apps Mail requires some DNS configuration changes and some set up.  Over the upcoming months, we will be assisting our customers to migrate their email services to Google Apps.  Please contact us to book a time to migrate your email services.
